The Beginners Program The Journey from Walker to Runner.
When we did our 5k run last year it was literally a walk in the park, I was pretty sure that almost anyone could just show up and walk it. For this next challenge tho, not so much. Some degree of training is required for even those that want to simply walk the 13 miles.
When I say some degree, I don't mean endless hours of sweating it out day after day, rather 4-8 hours a week depending on how far along in the training program you are.
We put together two training programs, one for the walker and one for the runner.
Whatever your goal I'm confident that if you follow the one of the programs you will finish this race, and enjoy yourself doing it.
As your coach I’m available via E-mail to answer your questions and concerns. We will provide info and can answer questions about proper running gear, stretching and heart rate. We will be posting schedules and more information as it becomes available.
